This is the beginning of what I hope will be a very short lived blog. It's an attempt to locate the status of my old friend; a young, American man who's lost touch with his family and friends either purposely or by some other means. The uncertainty is often far worse than the plain truth.
A letter to me from his loving mother follows...
Over the past 4 and a half years I have lost contact with my son, Gregory J. Ferris, nicknamed "Father Ferris." His last known location was somewhere in the Mariana Islands; Guam,
Saipan, Philippines.
Greg is a merchant seaman, 6'2" tall, 180 lbs., 42 years of age. He has auburn hair, brown eyes and wears glasses.
Reggae is his music of choice. He likes to cook and has a great sense of humor.
I miss him terribly.
